Method

A.C.T.S. prayer pattern

The ACTS pattern — Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication — has helped Christians for centuries pray with breadth and depth instead of drifting straight into 'help me.' This guide walks you through each of the four movements with Scripture, sample prayers, and practical prompts, then shows you how to combine ACTS with the Lord's Prayer and the Psalms for a rhythm you can carry through morning, midday, and evening. Especially useful for anyone whose prayer life has narrowed to petitions, for new believers learning to pray out loud, and for parents teaching children to pray.

Spend a few minutes on each letter. Don't rush.

A — Adoration

Worship God for who He is. Use His names. Borrow language from Scripture. Stay here until your heart catches up.

"Father, you are holy, faithful, kind, sovereign, near…"

C — Confession

Be specific. Name sins. Receive forgiveness in Christ. Turn from them in concrete ways.

"Lord, I confess… Wash me clean by the blood of Jesus."

T — Thanksgiving

Thank God for grace, gifts, people, even hard things being used for good.

"Father, thank you for…"

S — Supplication

Bring your needs and others'. Pray for the church, the lost, leaders, the suffering.

"Father, I ask… for me, my family, your church, and the world."
