Step 4 of 5 · What now?

Step 4 · The Gospel

What now?

If you believe Jesus is the Son of God, that He died for your sins, and that God raised Him from the dead — Scripture calls for a response. Not a religious performance. A turning of the whole heart.

1. Repent.

Repent means to turn. To agree with God that your sin is real, name it, and turn away from it. Not to clean yourself up first — but to bring it to Him.

Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out.
Acts 3:19

2. Believe.

Trust Jesus — not your good works, not your moral track record — as the one who saves you. Receive Him as Lord (the boss) and Savior (the rescuer).

But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
John 1:12

3. Pray.

There is no magic formula. Salvation is not in a script. But if you want to come to Jesus and you don't know what to say, this is a way to start — pray it honestly, in your own words:

Jesus, I know I am a sinner and I cannot save myself. I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sin. I trust You as my Savior and surrender to You as my Lord. Make me new. Lead me from this day on. Amen.
