The Bible has more language for disorientation than most Christians realize. Whole psalms — like 88 — end in darkness. God preserved those words for you.

When you suffer, you suffer with a Savior who has been there. He sympathizes. He intercedes. He waits at the other end.

Grief that hopes

Paul does not tell grieving Christians to stop grieving. He tells us not to grieve as those who have no hope.

Cry hard. Hope harder. The same Jesus who wept at Lazarus's tomb has prepared a place for those we love who are in Him.
