Reading the Bible

The single most formative habit in a Christian's life is regular, prayerful exposure to God's Word.

Matthew 6:5-15; 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Prayer

Prayer is not a technique. It is the way a child talks to a Father.

Matthew 6:16-18

Fasting

Fasting says, with our bodies, 'God is what I most need.'

Begin small — a meal, a day. Use the hunger as a prayer prompt. Break the fast worshipfully.
