25 days
A 25-day Advent Bible reading plan that walks from God's first promise in Genesis, through the prophets, to the birth of Jesus in Matthew and Luke. One short passage a day, December 1 to 25.
Advent means "coming." For four weeks before Christmas, Christians remember how God's people waited for the promised Savior — and how we wait for Jesus to come again. Read one passage a day. Each takes about five minutes. Light a candle if you like, read aloud with your family, and ask: what does this show me about Jesus? Advent begins four Sundays before Christmas; this plan simply starts on December 1 so it is easy to keep your place.
