Family worship handbook

A short, doable framework for gathering your family to read, sing, and pray.

Why family worship

Deuteronomy 6 commands parents to teach the Word to their children when they sit and walk, lie down and rise. Family worship is a daily fulfillment of that calling.

A 10-minute rhythm

Read 6 – 10 verses. Ask one question. Sing one song or chorus. Pray briefly for each person and one need beyond your home.

Practical tips

Pick a consistent time. Keep it short enough that your youngest can stay with you. Don't quit when it's bumpy. Pray for the day you'll need to make it longer.

What to read

A Gospel for younger kids. Proverbs for everyday wisdom. Psalms for prayer. A book of the Bible together for older kids.
